Angell Animal Medical Center Wins First Place in WGBH’s Boston A-List Rankings

August 13, 2013

BOSTON, Aug. 13, 2013 – After weeks of battling back and forth with other veterinary practices vying for the number-one ranking, voters ultimately catapulted Angell Animal Medical Center to first place in the 2013 Boston A-List Awards, presented by WGBH.  The Jamaica Plain-based animal hospital announced today it secured the top spot in the veterinary services category based on the votes from clients who visited the hospital with their pets in the last year.

The Boston A-List Awards is an annual contest in which 227 winners from various categories such as restaurants, sports facilities, arts and entertainment and non-profits compete with 4,700 nominees to be named the BEST of Boston’s A-List.  Winners are selected by Boston residents who this year cast more than 81,000 votes in 12 categories.

“Winning the Boston A-List’s ‘Best Veterinarian’ contest underscores how hard our veterinarians and staff work every day to exceed our clients’ expectations for compassion and excellence in veterinary care,” said Dr. Ann Marie Manning, Angell’s chief of staff.   “We share this honor with the other veterinary practices in our category, without whom we’d be unable to provide the level of specialty care that our clients (and their pets) have come to expect.”
