After being surrendered to the Boston MSPCA in December of 2009 because his previous owner’s landlord wouldn’t allow him, Champ waited almost three months before finding his forever family. They were worth the wait!
Champ is a star. He is complimented on his looks and his demeanor left and right. He's a favorite at the MSPCA and is loved by anyone who meets him. We've even had some people tell us that Champ is the first Pit Bull they have ever petted, and that they're glad they did so. He is such a cuddle bug. Wherever we sit he will find a way to lie or sit down as close to us as possible. Besides being cuddly, Champ is also smart and talented. He knew some tricks since before we adopted him, but he's so smart he learns new ones in just a matter of days. He recently learned to play “dead.” He is a natural at Nosework and we are hoping to get him certified this winter for competitions. We're also currently working on his training to prepare him for the Canine Good Citizen (CGC) Test. People at the MSPCA say that Champ is a very lucky boy for having found a family, but I believe we are the lucky one for having found Champ. He really makes every day happier and exciting, and he brings such joy to our lives.
