We adopted Lilly
when she was just 9 weeks old. She was
surrendered to the Nevins shelter at 5 weeks with a broken leg, but she
received great care and lived with some fantastic foster parents. She still has friends at the shelter who she
loves to visit.
Her leg has healed although sometimes she limps, and always sits a little funny. It doesn’t stop her, though! She has completed four training courses at the shelter and just started her fifth class. She loves going to “school” and I love taking her. It’s so much fun to watch her learn and grow.
What a joy this
puppy is! She makes us laugh every day. You can never have a bad day when Lilly is
around. Whether she is bouncing after
her toys or snuggled up next to me on the couch snoring away, she always put a
smile on my face.
Lil is always happy to meet new people. She greets them with a smile and her butt wiggles a mile a minute. You just need to watch out for her tongue, she’s quick with it and you’ll be covered with kisses before you know it! Lilly has a 4 year old “sister” named Abigail, a Pit Bull mix who was adopted from Nevins in 2006. I’m so grateful to the shelter for allowing us to share our lives with these wonderful dogs.
People ask me why a Pit Bull? I tell them I simply fell in love.
