Tiny Tim is my right hand man -- he is such an unstoppable little dude!

Because he is missing a leg, most people’s reactions to Tim generally involve the question "WHAT HAPPENED TO HIM?!" right off the bat. Tim had a pretty rough start. At six weeks of age he was thrown out of a car window and left for dead on the side of the road. Luckily, fellow animal lovers saw him and picked him up, then sought the medical attention he needed.

Tim was lucky enough to survive this horrific ordeal but that’s not to say he got away from it unscathed. The injuries to his front left leg were far too severe to repair and it was decided that an amputation would be the best route to his well-being in the long run. The date was set and the surgery was performed. Immediately post-op, Tim’s breathing and heart stopped for close to a minute, and on the vet’s last attempt at CPR, he pulled through.  That was the end of this poor guy’s nightmare.

On January 9th, 2010 Tim came home with me to start his new life alongside all his foster brothers and sisters. I've been involved with bully rescue and fostering for eight years now. He isn't my first bully and he won’t be my last, but no other has taught me and everyone he meets so much.

Tim loves everyone and everything he comes into contact with -- whether an infant who just thinks chasing him around is the greatest game, or the elderly at the retirement home he walks past everyday -- he is always a perfect gentlemen.  Tim really sets the stage to help educate and inform people that Pit Bulls can be loving, resilient companions.

He lives in Jamaica Plain with me, his half pig-half Pit Bull sister Olivia, and his English Bull Terrier brother Gizmo.  They enjoy many activities: wrestling with my roommate’s cats, sleeping in my lap or shoulders, rock climbing, watching Sons of Anarchy, fighting with Tim’s arch rival the JollyBall, swimming at Jamaica Pond, and cruising in the car. Most of all, Tim wants to be on the bed at my feet.

Tim is the perfect example that bullies can overcome anything and be amazing friends and companions.
