Our wonderful Pit Bull, Bentley (formerly named Jeff), is the best dog of all time! When he was found in March of 2011 as a stray, he was cold, thin, and scared. Fortunately, someone called Animal Control, who found him and took him to the MSPCA for a second chance. Bentley spent the next three weeks waiting for his forever home.
When we met Bentley, we had recently lost our 10-year old Pit Bull. But from the time we took him for a walk and he kissed our hands, we knew he would help fill the gap left in our lives.
Bentley was curious but calm on the ride to our farm in northern New Hampshire. There he met his new sisters: an elderly beagle mix named Abby, a spirited coonhound named Reesie, and a mischievous kitty named Josie. Bentley immediately loved all three, and with a wagging tail he followed them around the house.
Bentley greets family members and strangers with the same enthusiasm, kisses, and good manners. His disposition is extraordinary. We are so fortunate to have him!
Bentley spends his days enjoying Frosty Paws, napping in the sun, exploring the barn, swimming in the pond, watching the Red Sox, and snuggling in his bed at night. He is very friendly, cooperative and bright - truly a wonderful Pit Bull and poster boy for man’s best friend!
