We went to Angell-Boston's adoption center in August 2011 and adopted a female Pit Bull named Tessa. I have to admit I had some concerns about adopting a Pit Bull due to the stigma concerning the breed. I decided to do a lot of research online and talk to some people I know who have Pit Bulls before adopting, especially since we have a 7-year-old son. From the moment we first saw Tessa we knew she was the one for us. The first night she came home she was a little restless, she kept waking up to look and see if we were still there.
Now, Tessa goes to doggie day care every day, which she loves. She also loves to play with her ball in the backyard and roll around in the grass. She follows me around the house while I do chores and sits in the kitchen when I cook. She also loves to lie in my lap and take naps. The best thing about Tessa is that she is the sweetest dog who LOVES to give hugs and kisses. Our son loves to practice training her commands because she always obeys when he asks her to sit, stay, come, and lie down. Tessa is also great with strangers when we take her out and people always tell us what a beautiful dog she is. We couldn't have asked for a better dog. Adopting Tessa from Angell was one of the best decisions we ever made!
