Rocky's adopter emailed us this touching update in December 2011.
"When the holidays approach I always find myself assessing the things in life that I’m the most thankful for, as I believe that this is how the season should be spent. It’s tough to believe that it has been nearly three years since we brought Rocky home and I’ve meant to send this many times before, but things always seem to pop up as we all well know. Rocky is a tan and white Pit Bull that was in your care for quite some time and as anyone who was around then would be able to tell you, he had some challenges. Rocky has been an outstanding addition to our household who has since worked his way into our families, our lives, and our hearts. Though the training in the beginning was arduous, he has become quite the character and an ambassador to the breed; his excitable and fun loving personality coupled with an unyielding affinity for people has created quite the local celebrity.
I understand that in the tough times that we live the animals suffer a great deal and with all of the heart breaking stories that you guys must be subjected to daily, I figured now was as good a time as any to share a ray of hope. I’ve included a few pictures in hopes that all of you will be warmed by the good that you do and to personally thank you for giving Rocky a chance when things were looking down. I could go on and on but in the essence of keeping this succinct I will conclude by wishing you all the happiest and healthiest holiday season. A special thanks to all of you for the sacrifices that you make is in order; your efforts have saved many lives and touched many more."
