Marley, adopted 4/10/13
October 15, 2013

Marley came into our lives not long after losing our beloved pit bull Orion to cancer. We were afraid of “replacing” him, but in the end decided that Orion would have wanted us to rescue another dog in need. Marley needed our love and care and so we adopted him as soon as we heard his story. Unfortunately, he was hit by a car and left untreated for three days. He endured numerous injuries including a crushed ankle, compound fracture, and internal bleeding, but thanks to the miracle workers at the MSPCA at Nevins Farm, Marley was given a second chance. He may only have three legs, but that doesn’t stop him. Today Marley is healthy, strong, and happier than ever. He spends his days on the beaches of NH playing frisbee and annoying his 13yr old sister Acadia. He loves to swim and meet other doggy friends on the beach. Every person he meets has the same comment, “Wow! He’s fast for only having three legs!” As a three-legged pit bull, Marley faces challenges every day, but that doesn’t stop him from being a polite, goofy, playful, and loving boy. I hope that these are the qualities people always see in him.
