Rabbit 101- A Community Education Program

Rabbit Fest 2014

Are you thinking about adding a pet rabbit to the family?

Rabbits make wonderful companion animals,  but very different from cats and dogs.  Before making the decision to take a bunny home, come learn more about them!
This presentation will include basic information on rabbit behavior, diet, housing, exercise, handling and wellness. The fest will also kick off our first ever Fee Waived Rabbit Adoptathon - click here to learn more about the adoptathon.  Kids are welcome and encouraged to come. Interested in getting a companion to your current bun? We will be offering free nail trims during the presentation and can help you do a bunny intro after the Rabbit Fest.

WHERE: Boston MSPCA: 350 South Huntington Ave, Boston MA 02130
WHEN: Sunday, September 14th from 10am-11:30am
QUESTIONS?: Email bostonvolunteer@mspca.org or call (617) 524-5708

The presentation is free but if you would like to bring your rabbit in for a nail trim please register by emailing bostonvolunteer@mspca.org so we can prepare for how many rabbits will be coming in. We do ask for a suggested donation of $10 for the exam and nail trim. Please make sure that your rabbit is in an appropriate carrier. The carrier should be large enough that your bun will be comfortable enough to stay in it for the hour.  If your rabbit is showing any sign of a contagious illness: runny nose, weepy eyes, etc. please do not bring him/her in but do set up an appointment with your regular veterinarian.

We hope to see you on September 14th!
