The Adoption Center has a free food pantry for low-income owners of cats and dogs. If you are financially unable to purchase food for your pet, please visit the adoption center during our open hours. Be prepared to leave your contact information and pet information to sign up for the program. Please have a valid ID with you. We cannot guarantee we will have your pet's specific food in stock. If your pet needs a specific brand or type of food (dry vs. canned), please call ahead to check. Please call the Adoption Center at 508-775-0940 for more information.
We also need donations of dry and canned food for our food pantry (please no expired food or opened bags). Please contact the Adoption Center to leave a donation.
Thanks to a generous donor, the adoption center is able to offer reduced adoption fees for cats 9 years and over for senior citizens. All applicants must still go through our normal adoption process. All cats are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and given flea/worm prevention. Please call the adoption center at 508-775-0940 for more information.
Love animals? There's nothing more rewarding than volunteering your time caring for homeless animals. There's lots of opportunities, such as dog walking, caring for cats, and helping with events.
The Foster Care Program is a life-saving extension of our adoption center, where foster parents provide temporary homes for animals who may be ill, injured, pregnant, nursing, not socialized or too young.
Every May, the adoption center hosts the Furry Affair silent auction and dinner fundraiser at the beautiful Wianno Club to raise money for the care of homeless animals.
In September, get ready to walk for the animals! The day includes fun games, raffles as well as the mile walk along the Hyannis Harbor and Main Street. Come out with your family and pooch for a fantastic day!
