Comet’s Corner is an online MSPCA publication for middle & high school students who want to learn more about current topics related to animal welfare. As budding animal advocates, young people have amazing amounts of compassion and energy that can be channeled to create positive waves of change in the world. And it all begins with education!
Comet’s Corner is written by Marla Andrews, a long-time humane educator for the MSPCA and proud Pit Bull adopter. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Northeastern University and a Master of Education in Humane Education and Animal Welfare from Lesley University. This column is dedicated to her beloved dog, Comet, who together with Marla, spent almost a decade educating the public about proper pet care, ethical issues related to animals, and kindness and compassion toward all living beings.
