"Starting Your Own Backyard Flock" Lecture

Please join the MSPCA for these special lecture and practicum events!  Lecutres offered at both Nevins Farm in Methuen and at Angell in Boston.

This program is intended for animal professionals, farm bird enthusiasts, and members of the public who want to learn more about caring for and establishing a backyard poultry flock.  Practicums will offer a unique opportunity for hands-on learning in the Nevins Farm chicken coop!

Lecture topics covered will include how to establish a successful flock, nutrition and housing, free roaming flocks, basic handling and safety.  Lectures will be presented by Melissa Ghareeb and Pam Nixon, Barn Manager and Assistant Barn Manager at the MSPCA at Nevins Farm.

Registration costs for the lecture or practicum is a $10 donation each.  The practicum is capped at 6 attendees for each date and requires pre-registration online.
