Jointly sponsored by the New England Federation of Humane Societies and the MSPCA at Nevins Farm, this one day training workshop brings together individuals and agencies with a vested interest in the welfare of horses in our community.

Open to all horse rescue groups, veterinarians, scholars, and other stakeholders interested in the welfare of all horses throughout New England, this day-long seminar includes five presentations by equine authorities in our  region.

*Behavior Evaluation of Incoming Horses

*Behavior Modification for Incoming Horses
-presented by Claudia Lauze, Trainer

*Rehabilitating Neglected Hooves
-presented by by Dr. Carl Kirker-Head, VetMB, MA, DACVS, DEC, at the Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University

Registration Information
Registration for this training workshop is $20, which includes a hearty vegetarian pasta lunch.  Space is limited to 50 participants, so early registration is strongly recommended.  Due to space limitations, those agencies wishing to reserve space for more than two individuals should call in advance of registering to inquire about availability.
While much of the workshop will be held in a classroom setting, several presentations will include hands-on training in an outdoor farm setting with live animals.  Attendees are strongly encouraged to dress in warm layers appropriate for farm conditions.
