Surrender Information
If you are no longer able to care for or keep your animal, you can bring him/her to the MSPCA at Nevins Farm. The shelter takes in owned animals as well as stray cats and small mammals. If you find a stray dog please contact the animal control officer in the town in which the dog was found. Animals can be surrendered Tuesday & Thursday from 12 pm - 5:00 pm, Wednesday & Friday from 11am - 3pm. No appointment is necessary. We are closed for surrenders Saturday, Sunday, & Monday.
We do ask that the owner of the animal be present during the time of the surrender. The owner is able to give us the most accurate information regarding the animal and this will help us to find the best possible situation for him/her. If the owner is not able to be present, please contact the shelter to make other arrangements at (978) 687-7453, press 8, followed by ext. 6101. We also ask that you bring any veterinary records that the animal may have of the name and phone number of their most current veterinarian.
The shelter requests a financial donation ($100 for dogs and $50 for all other animals) to help cover the costs of the animal while it is in our care.
