Throw a Party
Carolyn Bandklayder and her husband Daniel are big fans of the MSPCA-Angell. Despite having moved to Miami many years ago, they still feel a strong connection to Angell due to the wonderful care their cats Wiseguy and Mitzvah received here from Dr. Nancy Laste (Mitzvah is the white cat pictured here w/Carolyn and Daniel with her brother Little Lion). Carolyn had the idea to hold a holiday party to raise funds for MSPCA-Angell, and invited all who loved the holidays and their pets to come to her home and celebrate!
Many local businesses donated beautiful items for a silent auction, and the Bandklayder’s friends made generous donations also. While we spent a cold night here in Boston on December 6, 2008, over 75 people gathered in sunny, warm Florida and raised over $4,000 for the MSPCA. This is all due to the generous, animal-loving hearts of Carolyn and Daniel, and we are so grateful.
Mitzvah and Carolyn will be making a trip up to visit Dr. Laste and tour MSPCA-Angell in May, and we are so excited to be able to thank her in person.
