
Thanks to generous donors and the support of local veterinarians, we are able to offer low-cost spay and neuter surgeries for low-income families who own Pit Bulls and Pit Bull mixes.
Dogs must be at least 4 months old to be able to participate in this program. Determining whether your dog is a Pit Bull/Pit Bull mix will be at the sole discretion of MSPCA employees at the time of appointment. Dogs determined not to be Pit Bulls or Pit Bull mixes will be subject to the veterinarian’s regular prices.

The program does not include additional tests or medications not related to the surgery. We recommend having pre-surgical bloodwork and a heartworm test completed prior to the surgery, which is available at the veterinarian's normal fee.

Once your application is approved and payment is received, the owner will be issued a certificate to use at either participating veterinarian:
The veterinarian will be faxed a copy of your approved application and certificate. The owner is responsible for contacting the veterinarian to schedule an appointment. The owner MUST bring the certificate to the appointment or will be subject to the veterinarian’s regular prices.
