Santa Photo Days!
Saturday Nov. 21 & Sunday Nov. 22 from 12-4pm
Bring your kids, dogs, cats, or other pet friend (on a leash or in a crate, please!) for a photo session with Santa!  Each photo session is just $10, and you may order prints, mugs, t-shirts, and other merchandise on-line in time for holiday gift-giving.  Plus, you'll have the satisfaction of knowing that you will be helping the animals and programs at Nevins Farm.

Rabbit Adoption Month
Rabbit Adopters Needed!
Most people know that rabbits are often surrendered in the month following Easter, as people who gave or got rabbits as gifts for the holiday lose interest.  In recent years however, the surrender of rabbits has moved beyond an Easter issue, and we see rabbits surrendered throughout the year, in large numbers. Typically, rabbits are given up because the family did not understand the amount of care rabbits require, or because a child lost interest and the parents did not want to take on responsibility.

Throughout the month of November, the rabbit adoption fee will be $25; the normal adoption fee of $75 will be subsidized by donors, in an effort to create interest in rabbits as family pets.  Staff & volunteers will also be on hand to answer questions about basic rabbit care and assist potential adopters in choosing a perfect rabbit match.  Specially priced "Going Home Packs" for complete care are available as well.

Local author Carol Katinglou is generously donating a portion of the proceeds from the sale of her book, A Gift From Chloe, to the MSPCA's Friends of Hillside Acre.  Inspired by the true story of a special cat, this book celebrates the bond of love shared between people and animals.  Parents & children will be inspired and touched by this heartwarming tale.

Go Green and we'll get paid!
