Klaus Loft, DVM
Dr. Klaus Loft joined Angell's Dermatology service in January 2011. He graduated from the Royal Agricultural & Veterinary University of Denmark in 1999. Upon graduation, he worked in private practice in Denmark and Sweden. He became increasingly interested in dermatology and allergies and began to focus his case load on dermatology. Dr. Loft completed an American College of Veterinary Dermatology approved residency at Michigan State in 2007. He has worked in the greater Boston area and New England since 2007. His practice is limited to dermatology, seeing cats and dogs with chronic ear problems, severe allergies, cutaneous cancerous conditions and immune mediated skin problems. Dr. Loft has published articles and lectured both in Scandinavia and the United States. His special interests are feline dermatology and chronic ear disease.

Dr. Ursula Thomas, DVM, DACVD

Dr. Ursula Thomas is an Austrian native who graduated from the Veterinary School of Vienna, Austria in 2006. After completing a doctoral thesis at the Veterinary School of Vienna’s Dermatology Service in 2008, Dr. Thomas then moved to the United States of America to start a three-year residency program in clinical and investigative veterinary dermatology at North Carolina State University. Dr. Thomas became board certified with the American and European Colleges of Veterinary Dermatology in 2011. Since then, she has worked as faculty at the University of Florida’s Dermatology Service, as well as a veterinary dermatologist at an emergency clinic in Massachusetts. Dr. Thomas’ special interests include: skin allergies, ear diseases, metabolic and endocrine diseases, as well as auto-immune skin diseases and illnesses that lead to hair loss. Outside of veterinary medicine, Dr. Thomas enjoys traveling, hiking, exercising, as well as spending time with her family and friends.

Meghan E. Umstead, DVM, MS, DACVD
Dr. Meghan Umstead completed her residency in Dermatology at Auburn University in July 2012 and joined Angell in January 2013. Her practice includes dogs and cats with chronic allergy, ear disease, autoimmune skin disease, and other diseases that manifest within the skin.

Cori Godfrey, Dermatology Assistant
Cori grew up in Connecticut where she was an ICU Technician at a veterinary referral and emergency center since 2009 as well as a part-time veterinary dermatology technician. She moved to Boston in June 2012 and worked as a technician at a local general practice, putting her skills and love for animals to great use in their fast-paced environment. She is currently taking classes through Penn Foster to receive her Associates Degree in their Veterinary Technician Program and plans on becoming a Certified Technician in Massachusetts shorty after graduating. Cori joins the Angell Dermatology Team, excited to work again with animals that have skin/ear issues and allergies.When not studying, she spends most of her spare time hiking or running and loves playing with her two black cats, Luna and Mister Kitties.
Annmarie Morawiak, CVT, Dermatology Technician
While obtaining her bachelor’s degree in Veterinary Technology from Mount Ida College, Annmarie worked for a few years as an emergency assistant at a fast paced referral practice. Annmarie has worked at Angell since 2010, and worked as technician in the Inpatient and Ophthalmology departments before joining the Dermatology team in July of 2014. Annmarie has been a Certified Veterinary Technician since April 2012 and is an active member of the Massachusetts Veterinary Technician Association. Annmarie enjoys spending time with Jackson, her energetic lab, and following the Bruins into the playoffs every year.
Jaclyn Tanguy, CVT, Dermatology Technician
Jaclyn graduated from UMass Amherst in 2012 with a Bachelor of Science in Pre-Veterinary Medicine and a minor in Psychology. She received her Certified Veterinary Technician status in July 2013. Before joining the Angell Dermatology service in September 2013, Jaclyn worked for several years as a veterinary technician in a general medicine practice where she gained experience in several different areas including surgery and exotics. Outside of work she is an avid Boston Bruins fan and can usually be found watching the games with her two rabbits Liezel and Corduroy.
Elizabeth Wolfram, CVT, Dermatology Technician
Liz graduated from Great Bay Community College in 2007 with an Associate Degree in Veterinary Technology and became a Certified Veterinary Technician soon after. She worked in general practice in New Hampshire for 4 years before moving to Boston and becoming a part of the Angell team. She started in the Surgery Department as an Anesthesia Technician in 2011 before becoming a Dermatology Technician in 2014. Her interest in Dermatology started when her cat “Twinkle” developed allergies. She was intrigued by the advanced medicine that is offered at Angell and wanted to learn more about Dermatology. In her spare time she enjoys snowboarding, hiking, the beach and spending time with her family.
Rebecca is our Dermatology Secretary. Rebecca has worked at Angell Animal Medical Center since 1999. As an Angell Client Liaison, Rebecca provides superior customer service by scheduling appointments, educating callers on general pet health care, and triaging pet emergencies over the phone. Rebecca also serves as the Client Liaison for the Cardiology and Behavior specialty services offered at Angell.
In the Fall of 2000, Rebecca became a Client Liaison Supervisor for Angell. In this position, Rebecca managed all of our Client Liaisons and assisted in the development of a new telephone call center for Angell. Rebecca joined the Angell Dermatology service in the Summer of 2006. She schedules all of our Dermatology appointments and is responsible for answering client questions about their pet's dermatologic conditions. Rebecca brings with her years of experience in customer service and of course a great love for animals!
