The Angell Oncology Service is participating in a fully-funded clinical trial for treatment of mast cell tumors in dogs. We are pleased to accept applicants for this clinical trial. The study is for dogs, and for your pet to be included in the trial they must have:
- A measurable mass (more than one lesion is allowed)
- A biopsy-confirmed Grade 2 mast cell tumor with the biopsy performed within the last 6 months
- No prior treatment with chemotherapy or radiation therapy
- No prednisone or NSAIDs (rimadyl, previcox, etc.) 3 weeks prior or during the study
All study costs including screening for study inclusion are covered. The study is evaluating a new chemotherapy drug for treatment of mast cell tumors.
