Veterinary Internships

Angell Animal Medical Center offers 14 competitive internships annually.

This clinically-oriented internship allows for rotation through all services including internal medicine, emergency/critical care, neurology, ophthalmology, cardiology, oncology, surgery, avian/exotic medicine and radiology/pathology.

Rounds, staff conferences, clinicopatholologic conferences and pathology demonstrations are held with permanent professional staff participation and support. Interns also attend lectures on various specialties and areas of special interest.

The hospital is never closed, receiving patients 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Applicants should be aware that interns will experience a rigorous schedule and will need to be capable of independent decision-making.

Application is through the American Association of Veterinary Clinicians (AAVC) matching program. A detailed description of the internship program and application process is provided in the AAVC Directory of Internships and Residencies.
