MSPCA-Angell Walk for Animals After Party

Official Post Event Celebration to Benefit Animals in Need

Kick back and relax after joining thousands of animal lovers and their four-footed companions for the 28th Annual MSPCA-Angell Walk for Animals on Sunday, September 7th. The Official After Party for the MSPCA-Angell Walk for Animals is open to walkers and non-walkers at Big City in Allston, between 4 and 6 p.m. Brought to you by the MSPCA-Angell, BeerAdvocate and Big City, the party includes two FREE beers from a selection of breweries, light snacks and free games of pool all for a $25 donation ($20 if you bring an item to donate to the MSPCA-Angell Wish List can be found below). 

Beers donated to be on tap include: Boulder Beer Company (Mojo Risin), Avery Brewing Company (Ellie's Brown Ale), Smuttynose Brewing Company (Old Brown Dog Ale), Stone Brewing Company (TBA), Sixpoint Craft Ales (Bengali Tiger) and Unibroue (TBA). Details are subject to change so please check back periodically to make sure you do not miss anything.

Due to health codes dogs and other pets are not permitted to attend this event.

4:00 p.m. 6:00 p.m.

WHERE: Big City, 138 Brighton Avenue, Allston

PARKING: Street parking is available on a first come first served basis. Public transportation is recommended.

WISH LIST: 
For the dogs:
Blankets, towels and sheets (#1 most wanted item!)
Martingale collars and Gentle Leader Headcollars
6 foot leather and nylon leashes (or 6 foot slip leads)
Interactive toys (Kong, Buster Cube, squeaky stuffed animals)
Soft, breakable treats for training
Beef or Chicken Broth (we freeze it in Kong toys for dogs to chew)
String Cheese (we use this for training)
Hot Dogs (we also use small bits of hot dogs for training)

For the cats:
Blankets, towels and sheets (#1 most wanted item!)
Cat Carriers
Toys (furry mice, jingle balls, ping pong balls) - CATNIP!
Grooming brushes
Large shoeboxes (used for cozy beds)

For the small animals:
Oat or Timothy Hay
Carefresh® Pet Bedding
Hamster, gerbil, ferret and rat food
High quality, non-tank/non habitrail hamster, mouse and rat cages
Rabbit toys (we love plastic measuring cups!)
Veggies (leafy green and red peppers are great!)

Misc. supplies:
Hand Sanitizer (at least 65% alcohol content)
Gift cards to pet supply, grocery and office supply stores.
Non-latex exam gloves
Postage Stamps
Can openers

*Please note. Due to diet guidelines, we are unable to accept dog or cat food other than Science Diet*
The value of gifts to the MSPCA is tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law. We are happy to provide you with a receipt for your contribution.
*Do not bring anything that has to be refrigerated.
