At Nevins Farm

This Massachusetts school vacation week, kids ages 6-15 years of age will flock to Nevins Farm and help care for our animals, keep our shelter running and make new friends!  For questions about our School Break Program, please email humaneeducation@mspca.org

Make your child’s winter or spring school break a meaningful one – sign them up for our School Break Program! What could be a better way to spend your school vacation than making new friends and hanging out with awesome animals that need your help? At the MSPCA School Break Program, you will learn how to care for animals and be a responsible animal guardian. Activities will include a combination of animal care chores as well as animal socializing/education. Depending on the session, these may include cleaning cat cages, mucking horse stalls, walking dogs, grooming cats or small animals, feeding treats or washing floors – whatever is most needed!

Details:

  • The program takes place during the Massachusetts school vacation weeks that are held in December, February, and April. Please click on the Register button to see the dates for the current school year. Please note that the state of New Hampshire may have different school vacation weeks than Massachusetts. We do run both a Family Service Day and the Junior Volunteer Program that may work for NH residents.
  • School Break Programs are offered in two sessions for children ages 6-10 (12:15-2pm) and 11-15 (9:15-11am).Each session is one hour and forty five minutes long per day, for four days.  We also offered limited “single day” sign-ups for this program.
  • The program fee totals $85 per week session, or $30 per day for “single day” sessions, which helps support our many animal care and adoption programs!
  • This fee is due at the time of registration and is non-refundable and non-transferrable.
