Concierge – Clinic – Methuen


This is an opportunity for people who are excited to engage with the public! Clinic Concierge volunteers should have an attention to detail, strong customer service skills, be highly proficient with computers, be adaptable to the changing needs of the adoption center, and be excited to be a representative of the MSPCA and our programs.


  • Answering phones and checking voicemails
  • Responding to email inquiries regarding our Spay/Neuter programs
  • Online-based administrative work for our Spay/Neuter programs
  • Collaborating with staff members to represent our programs
  • Assisting with check-in or check-out of clinic animals



  • Good customer service skills
  • Empathetic, non-judgmental approach
  • Ability to work independently and with other volunteers
  • Proficiency in using a computer without assistance, and learning new programs. All volunteers digitally log hours and use an online scheduling function. Clinic Concierges perform additional tasks on a computer as a core part of their role.
  • Being bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus!
  • Capability to carry cats in carriers to and from the clinic.



  • Attendance at orientation
  • On-the-job training


Time Commitment:

  • A weekly two hour shift on a set day and time.
  • Minimum of 4 consecutive months.
  • Shifts currently available for this position are Friday 8am-10am, Friday 10am-12pm, and Friday 12pm-2pm. If one of these does not fit your availability, please check back at a later time.
  • The Wednesday 7am-8am shift requires a high level of proficiency with customer service and learning new computer programs, as it is checking in animals for surgery.
