Spanish Speaking Communications Volunteer
Description:
This is an opportunity for people who are excited to engage with the public. Communications volunteers should have an attention to detail, strong customer service skills, be adaptable to the changing needs of the adoption center, and be excited to be a representative of the MSPCA and our programs. We are currently receiving communications in Spanish via email and phone and would like to be able to return calls by fluent Spanish speaking volunteers.
Responsibilities:
- Answering phones and checking voicemails
- When appropriate, greeting adoption center visitors and answering basic questions
- Responding to adoption center email inquiries
- Assisting staff members with scheduling animal surrender appointments
- Collaborating with staff members to represent our programs
Qualities/Skills:
- Good customer service skills
- Empathetic, non-judgmental approach
- Ability to work independently and with other volunteers
- Must speak Spanish fluently.
Requirements:
- Attendance for virtual video interview with Volunteer Coordinator
- In Adoption Center mentor training with staff or volunteer.
Time Commitment:
- Minimum of one regular shift per week
- Available shifts: Monday – Friday 8am-10am or 10am-12pm: please only apply if you have availability during these times to volunteer on site at the adoption center.
