Pet care can get expensive, especially if the unexpected happens. Pet insurance is perhaps the best tool to ensure that unexpected costs don’t have lasting impacts on a family’s finances.
The MSPCA-Angell knows that choosing the right pet insurance provider and policy can be daunting. For this reason, earlier this year Angell appointed the veterinary industry’s first licensed pet insurance coordinator in New England. Harrison Stenson works with pet owners at Angell to navigate the many options and make informed decisions around finding the plan that best fits the pet owner’s (and pet’s) needs.
In creating this role, Angell’s Chief of Staff, Dr. Ann Marie Greenleaf felt it was important to put the client’s needs first and remain free of any exclusive insurance partnerships. She explains, “There are more than 30 pet insurance providers already in the market, and more are coming online every year. Rather than partner with any one provider, we’re putting patients and their families first by matching their needs with a provider who can best meet them.”
