Earlier this year, the new legislative session started, and the MSPCA-Angell Advocacy Team was busy filing bills and working with legislative sponsors. Last session, several bills passed, including Nero’s Bill, the Beagle Bill, and a bill to crack down on poaching.
The Advocacy team held an event at the State House at the beginning of the 2023 session to meet new legislators and introduce them to the animal protection bills, hoping for their co-sponsorship. It was a great turnout!
For more information and to join one of our events, visit mspca.org/advocacy. And save the date for Lobby Day for Animals — June 7!
We also have a new opportunity to take a leadership role in our Animal Action Team! We are seeking advocates for our Community Advocacy Leaders (C.A.L.) program. Learn more at: mspca.org/community-advocacy.
