Whether you are just exploring the idea of a pet pig or you are ready to find your new best friend, our presentation has something for everyone. Topics that will be covered include: nutrition and housing, basic handling and safety, pig behavior primer, and most importantly, the realities behind the myth of “micro”, “nano”, and “teacup” pigs.
Want some hands-on experience caring for pigs? We’ve designed six small group practicum sessions for folks that are seriously considering adding a pig to their life. These practicum sessions will take place in our pig barn and will offer prospective pig parents a chance to see what it’s really like to share your life with pigs!
The presentation is free, and practicum sessions are $10, which will benefit the animals and programs of the MSPCA at Nevins Farm. Space is limited, so register now!
