Rye is a 4 month old, neutered male. He was brought to the MSPCA, along with his littermates, when they were 2 months old. Having not spent much time around humans in the past, Rye was very hissy and nervous when people tried to pet him so we sent him to a foster home to work on socialization. In the last month, he's made great progress, but will still hiss when he's startled and run away if he doesn't want to be pet. He can be pet while he's eating something especially tasty, like canned food, but still can't be picked up/held. He needs a special adopter that will be patient, go slow, and help him gain more confidence. Although he's shy with people, he is great with cats and may benefit from having a feline-companion in his new home. Big noises and fast movements cause him to panic and hide, so no kids for this guy. Adoption fee: $375
