Bluegrass is a 4 month old, neutered male. He was brought to the MSPCA, along with his littermates, when they were 2 months old. Having not spent much time around humans in the past, Bluegrass was very hissy and nervous when people tried to pet him so we sent him to a foster home to work on socialization. In the last month, he's made great progress, but will still hiss when he's startled and run away if he doesn't want to be pet. It's easiest to pet him while he's eating something delicious (like wet food or tempation treats) and when he's feeling sleepy. After a few weeks, he would occassionally cuddle up with his foster mom, but always on his terms! He needs a special adopter that will be patient, go slow, and help him gain more confidence.
Some shy cats do better with another feline friend in the home. Bluegrass doesn't need to live with another cat, but it's an option. He's extremely energetic and playful, got along well with his brothers in foster.
Adoption fee: $375
