More About Me:
Hi there, I'm Cat Stevens! I’m here at the shelter because my owner is moving and is unable to take me along. Since I’ve been here, someone on staff said that I’m ‘annoyingly’ social??? How can being social also be annoying??? I’m currently living in her office at the shelter, and I won’t let her work ... I want her complete attention all of the time! True cat lovers want a social cat!!! I’m a nice guy, out-going and cuddly. I can be low-tolerance for petting, but I’ll be appropriate and let you know when your attention starts to annoy me! We’ll just annoy each other!!! Now for the serious part: I have diabetes, so I will need medical management and a close relationship with a vet. I urinate a lot due to my diabetes, so it will be good to have multiple large litter boxes available, scooped regularly. And it’s best that we have a predictable routine for meal times, which is better for my diabetes.
It takes a very special person to adopt a cat with diabetes. Handling it is not a big inconvenience for those who are familiar with feline diabetes, and it’s easy to learn. If you have a lifestyle that enables you and I to keep to a regular meal time schedule, and whether or not you’ve cared for diabetic cats, because staff will teach you everything you need to know about caring for me, if you are ready to adopt and let me annoy you with my cuddly personality, give staff a call and let them you know you are ready for the little challenge I represent! I’ll make it worth it!
