Meet Ophelia

Ophelia is a one year old, 80 pound bundle of happy! She is silly, playful and big and still acts like a puppy in many ways. Because Ophelia has never had the opportunity to live in a house, adopters should be excited to help this beauty learn all about good manners inside and outside the home. Positive rewards training has already been started to help her keep 4 paws on the floor for saying hello and how to walk nicely on leash. Puppy proofing and a safe confinement area in the home is a must while she learns the ins and outs of house training and will insure she makes good choices, while she`s learns. This good girl can have a very exuberant play style and will need consistent rewards based training to learn not to get too excited. Enrichment toys and puzzles while inside will help her settle in nicely and entertain herself for a bit. Ophelia needs to be the only dog in the home, she may eventually be able to have carefully selected dog friends, outside the home,in the future. She will not be a candidate for daycare/dog parks. A dog savvy cat, with multiple well managed, slow introductions, may be a possibility. Older teens that are comfortable with a large, sometimes very bouncy girl and who are willing to consistently participate in her training, will be considered. Ophelia is very ready to have the wonderful life she deserves, living in a home with a family that loves her. If that might be you, please start by filling out the adoption inquiry form in the link below.
