More about Millicent:

I am a playful and friendly girl. I will make a lovely companion for the right adopter. I need someone patient, understanding of my history, committed to me being the only pet in the home, and able to follow a strict plan for a slow introduction to the home, and to do some sleuthing to determine my litter box preferences.

I have a history of not using my litter box for many years (we have medical notes regarding urinalysis, follow-up vet care, and prescription diet).

I will need a slow introduction to my new home, starting in a single room. I should have multiple litter box options (covered vs. uncovered, different litter options). My adopter should be prepared to do some experimenting to determine my preference and to ensure my boxes remain tidy consistently. Once my preference is determined and I have acclimated to my new environment and adopter, I can be introduced gradually to the rest of the house, gaining access to only one room at a time with the use of baby gates, etc, to restrict access.

A quiet, low-traffic, low-stress environment is the most likely situation for me to success, but I still might struggle at times.

The shelter is open Tuesday through Sunday from noon – 4:30pm, with no appointment needed to meet available cats.

Compatibility:
Cats: No thank you!
Dogs: No thank you!
Kids: No thank you!
