Meet Cookie

Cookie is as sweet as her name suggests—a soft, snuggly girl who just needs a little time to warm up before she shows her full charm. Once she trusts you, she’s like your favorite homemade treat: comforting, loyal, and impossible to resist. She loves car rides, enjoys a good walk or run, and still knows how to settle in like a perfect couch companion afterward—a true balance of sugar and spice.

Right now, Cookie is feeling a bit “underdone” in the shelter and can be nervous meeting new people, but with patience and kindness, she’ll rise beautifully. Give her the time she needs, and you’ll discover a loyal, loving companion who’s just waiting to be your perfect batch of happiness. Cookie would like to in an adult only home without any other dogs, although may be able to live with a dog-savvy cat.

Stop by our Boston Adoption Center to meet Cookie. We have open adoption hours Tuesday-Sunday from 12pm - 3pm - no appointment needed to speak to a staff person regarding available pets.

Please note, in an effort to keep the stress levels reduced for the dogs in our care, our dog kennel areas will not be open to walk through. Interested adopters will work with a matchmaker on staff to determine which dog(s) they are interested in and if we can identify a match, potential adopters will be able to meet those dogs outside of the kennel. Cat and small animal areas will remain open to walk through.
