Surgery Task Force – PM Shift
Description:
Our PM Surgery Task Force volunteers ensure that our OR is fully disinfected and ready for use. This role is integral in keeping the OR up and running. Volunteers must first complete a minimum of six months in the hospital to qualify for the PM Surgery role. In addition, volunteers must attend a surgery specific orientation (in addition to the initial orientation).
Responsibilities:
- Disinfect individual OR Rooms including:
- Ceiling panels and railings
- Air vents
- Walls and doors
- Windows and blinds
- Overhead lights
- Wall-mounted equipment
- Counter-tops and floors
- All machinery and monitors
Qualities/Skills:
- Organized and detail oriented
- Ability to follow direction and prioritize tasks
- Ability to work independently and with other volunteers
- Ability to meet physical requirements of the role which requires repetitive movements such as bending, lifting, and reaching
- Comfortable wearing full PPE including a mask and hair cover
Requirements:
- A minimum commitment of six months
- A weekly shift of two hours on a set day and time
- Attendance at orientation, surgical orientation, and on-site training
Available Shifts:
- Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday from 6:00-8:00 PM
