The MSPCA at Nevins Farm, in Methuen, Massachusetts, is a unique 55-acre animal care complex that provides shelter and adoption services for both farm and companion animals; an exceptional equine program, including rehabilitation, adoption services, and a world-renowned equine ambulance program; community outreach and education, including a popular summer camp for children; resources for pet owners who have lost a companion animal, including a crematory and cemetery; and humane law enforcement services that uphold animal protection laws and provide care to animal victims of abuse and neglect. 'Tour de Pooch & Pals' Spin for Animals

It's a New Year, and time for some new resolutions! If one of those is to 'Get Fit', why not register for our 9th annual Spin for Animals, and help animals while you get into shape? Spin for an hour or two, or go for the max and spin for all three hours - with 6 participating gyms across Merrimack Valley, there is a location near you. Rally your friends and family to form a team, or ask them to sponsor you in your effort to help homeless, sick, or neglected animals.

Zumba Party!
Friday, February 10 from 7-9pm at Latitude Sports Club in Methuen
Party yourself into shape, and help animals at the same time! Latitude Sports Club of Methuen is kicking off their team fundraising effort for the Spin for Animals by hosting a Zumba fitness party on the evening before the Spin! No advance registration is required, and no dance experience needed – just show up and get your groove on! Tickets are $30 at the door, to benefit the many animals of the MSPCA at Nevins Farm.
This will be their largest Zumba party ever – we’re hoping to fill the gym with over 100 people, so come dance the night away and help homeless animals!

2012 'Spay Day' Clinic Is Now Scheduling

Saturday, February 4 for Pit Bull Puppies and Sunday, February 5 for Female Cats
Each year, through the generosity of donors, the MSPCA at Nevins Farm hosts a low cost Spay-Neuter clinic for cats & dogs in honor of Spay Day. Thanks to the many volunteer veterinarians and vet techs who offer up their time, we’re able to offer a limited number of surgery appointments to those with financial need.

$10 Cat Neuters During February
Tuesday – Friday, No Appointment Needed!
February is Spay-Neuter Month at the MSPCA, and we’re celebrating by offering cat neuter surgeries for just $10! With easy morning drop-offs and same-day pick-up, we’re taking away all of the excuses. No appointment is needed, just bring your male cat in to the Noble Family Adoption Center any Tuesday through Friday beginning February 1st, and we’ll neuter & vaccinate him the same day!
Think your male cat isn’t contributing to the cat overpopulation? Even if your male cat slips out just once per month and impregnates just one female, he could be responsible for over 70 kittens a year, who go on to breed even more litters! 2012 Summer Camp Registration Opens February 3rd!

The MSPCA at Nevins Farm Children's Summer Camp teaches lifetime lessons of compassion, responsibility and respect not only toward animals, but toward all life and the environment as a whole. Offered in one week sessions, and appropriate for children in rising grades 2-9, this camp is perfect for any animal lover!
Applications were previously accepted via lottery, but because we are accepting more children to camp than ever before, this year we will be accepting registrations on a first-come, first-served basis. Registration will open on February 3rd, and must be submitted online. A non-refundable $25 deposit is required at the time of registration.

Girl Scout Tours
Maybe your troop is working on an animal-related badge. Or perhaps your troop is working on a collection drive for Nevins Farm. A guided tour of Nevins Farm could be a great way to cap off a project! Girl Scouts can even purchase a special MSPCA fun patch at the end of their visit. The MSPCA at Nevins Farm is a popular destination for Girl Scouts, so be sure to book a tour well in advance. Did you ever think about a feathered friend as a companion? The MSPCA's adoption centers take in hundreds of birds each year who need loving homes. Rent Our Indoor Arena
Do you love to ride, but inclement weather keeps you out of the saddle? Is working your horse in snow or rain a challenge? The Equine Center of the MSPCA at Nevins Farm offers hourly rentals of its indoor riding arena to local equestrians, with all proceeds benefiting the horses and farm animals of the MSPCA.
