The MSPCA at Nevins Farm, in Methuen, Massachusetts, is a unique 55-acre animal care complex that provides shelter and adoption services for both farm and companion animals; an exceptional equine program, including rehabilitation, adoption services, and a world-renowned equine ambulance program; community outreach and education, including a popular summer camp for children; resources for pet owners who have lost a companion animal, including a crematory and cemetery; and humane law enforcement services that uphold animal protection laws and provide care to animal victims of abuse and neglect. Spring Vaccination Clinic
Sunday, March 29th, from 7am-11am at the Noble Family Adoption Center
Keep your dog or cat safe, by keeping them up-to-date with vaccinations! Our Spring Vaccination Clinic is open to the public, with no advance appointments required. Bring your dog on a leash or your cat in a carrier, along with any previous vaccination records if available. Microchips (a form of permanent identification) will also be available, as well as nail trims.

Thinking about adding a rabbit to your family – or just want to learn more about them? Join us for Rabbits 101, an hour long presentation that will fill your mind with everything you’ve been wondering about. Topics covered will include behavior, diet, housing, exercise, handling and wellness. And afterwards, everyone will be invited to meet our adoptable rabbits!
Families and children are encouraged to attend. Registration is not required and there is no fee for this event.

Hair of the Dog - wine tasting and art event - tickets now available!
Friday, May 1st from, 6:00 - 9:00 pm at the Essex Art Center
Sample dozens of wines from around the world while enjoying a dazzling array of artwork by local artists. Make sure to come hungry – Whole Foods in Andover will make your evening complete with a delicious buffet ranging from appetizers to dinner and dessert, including vegetarian and vegan options!

Starting a Backyard Flock: Community Education Presentation and Practicum Offerings ***new snow date***

Six Practicum dates to choose from
Learn all you ever needed to know about keeping farm birds! Whether you are just getting ready to start your flock or have been a farm bird enthusiast for years, our lecture has something for everyone. Topics that will be covered include: establishing a successful flock, nutrition and housing, and basic handling and safety.
Want some hands-on experience caring for farm birds? Sign up for one of our six available practicum sessions, offered from March through May at the MSPCA’s Chicken Coop. You’ll learn from our staff and volunteers what it’s really like to share your life with farm birds.

Trailering Your Horse
Saturday March 28 from 12:30-4:30pm
Registration now open!
Our Equine Trailering course will help horse enthusiasts and owners of all skill-sets to improve their ability to safely, calmly and efficiently trailer horses of all temperaments. Offered on March 28th, and led by Roger Lauze, the basics of trailering to advanced trailering will be explored through classroom and hands-on learning while being challenged to consider the experience from the perspective of the horse.

A Huge Production presents Pet Rock: Concert to benefit the MSPCA at Nevins Farm. With live music, games, raffles and fun atmosphere ticket holders can support the MSPCA in a multitude of ways and even walk away with cool prizes in addition to great memories and knowing they supported a great cause.

Summer Camp - Registration Now Open
Sessions for kids grades 2-9
The MSPCA at Nevins Farm Children's Summer Camp teaches lifetime lessons of compassion, responsibility and respect not only toward animals, but toward all life and the environment as a whole.
Campers work alongside shelter and barn staff to help care for our animals - all while learning about animal welfare and making new friends!
