Jimin is a part of a bonded trio including Reeses and Sugar and would love to find a home all together! We are a bit on the shy side, but love to chatter away and play with eachother.
Guinea pigs can make wonderful pets! They are very social creatures which means that they generally need at least one companion! Of course guinea pigs should only be kept with other piggies of the same sex. A pair of guinea pigs needs at minimum 10.5 sq. feet of cage space, or roughly 30" x 50" with a solid bottom, but more room is always encouraged! Guinea pigs can be quite noisy which can be lovely as long as you are expecting it!

Smee
Parrot

Smee is ready to meet you! Smee is a 30 year old Amazon parrot looking for a very special parrot-experienced home. Smee always greets people with enthusiasm here in the shelter and likes to be petted and chat with you once she has warmed up. She very expressive and loves to make herself heard, so we are recommending a non-apartment home with someone who appreciates a noisy and spirited bird!
Smee came to us from not the most ideal situation, so we are looking for a patient and experienced adopter who is willing to take on her needs. She doesn't know how to fly or climb very well, and still needs to gain confidence coming out of her cage. We have been working with her on learning how to step up and encouraging her to come out of her cage here at the shelter, but she is not quite comfortable with these things yet and is looking for someone who will take it slow and let her come out at her own pace. Smee also has a condition in her feet called hyperkeratosis, which is essentially thickened skin linked to a lack of vitamin A, and is recovering from a sore on one of her feet. Due to this she will need a setup with soft perches (rope or wooden perches wrapped in soft material) while she heals. She is looking for someone who will help her gradually transition to a healthy diet of pellets and fresh fruits and veggies so that her feathers can shine and she can feel her best!
If you are willing to put in the work to help Smee be her healthiest and most confident self, she will reward you with plenty of laughter and love! If you are interested in learning more about her, please fill out an inquiry at www.mspca.org/bostonadoptioninquiry!

Willow is bonded to Graham. The pair can be timid at first but are very friendly and curious once they are comfortable. They like to sit on the couch and watch TV with you. They prefer to be free roam or have a large cage such as an exercise pen for dogs. He will nip to let you know when he is uncomfortable such as during a nail trim. He will chew on wires, cardboard, and anything rubbery so anywhere they can access will need to be rabbit proofed.
Bunnies are very social animals! They love to be around their people friends and get tons of love and attention. Bunnies do not like being held. However, they love it when you sit on the floor with and get down to their level for pets. These bunnies love their greens and love to run around and explore. All of the bunnies adopted from the MSPCA are spayed/neutered before going home. The average life expectancy of a rabbit is 7-10 years, so you will have lots of time to give this bunny some love. Rabbits are very social animals so they need lots of attention just like a cat or dog! Adoption fee: $85
We recommend providing a safe indoor enclosure that allows a rabbit to stretch their legs and move around. The needs of each rabbit are unique and if you have questions about the right type of enclosure for the rabbit you are interested in, please let us know in your inquiry! We are happy to provide guidance and advice
* We are currently closed to the general public due to the coronavirus outbreak but are scheduling appointments for adoption. Alex is a handsome chunk of duck! Alex and his buddy, Cal are looking for a nice leisurely home where they can loaf about like true Pekin ducks. We estimate these boys to be around 2 years old. Neither of them are particularly...ehem...athletic... but they make up for it with their adorable Pekin waddle!

Meet Ella! This beautiful girl is 5 years old and was recently spayed. She's a special type of rabbit with velvet soft fur known as a Rex. Her adoption fee is $85.
Rabbits are very social animals so they need lots of attention just like a cat or dog! The average life expectancy is 7-10 years. It is important that they have a safe enclosure as well as time exercise time to roam around. Since bunnies spend a lot of their day in their enclosure, we require them to be a minimum of 12 square feet, and have a top.
If you are interested in adoption Ella, please send a picture of your bunny enclosure and it's dimensions to cape@mspca.org.

Please inquire about our mice if you would like to learn more about adoption!

More about Baby Day:
You saw my picture … I’m beautiful, right?? I’m a typical tortie, with a good balance of social and independent behavior. I love my people once I’ve been given time to warm up to my environment. I will solicit love and attention especially when I am in the mood. I’m not a lap cat, but I enjoy sitting next to my people on the couch. I have luxurious long hair and it will need regular grooming!!
I’m mature … okay, I’m a senior lady, between 10-12 years, so my adopter should plan to keep up with my regular senior care with a vet. Also, a fear-free vet might be best for me. I struggle with transitions, so my adopter should be prepared slowly introduce to my new home, and let me acclimate on my own schedule.
Are you ready to adopt? Will you give a mature lady a forever home filled with love and caring? Do you have grooming tools ready?? If so, give staff a call and let them know you are the perfect person to give me my loving retirement home!
Compatibility: Cats: Probably, mellow and easy-going Dogs: No thanks! Kids: No thanks!

Hi, I'm Pebble! I'm a cute pig looking to be the star of the show in your home! I had previously lived with another pig, so there's a chance I may be able to live with another pig down the road. I can sometimes have softer poops, so my new person should make sure my diet is in tip-top shape and should reach out to a vet with any future concerns.
If you're interested in learning more about me, fill out an adoption inquiry at https://www.cognitoforms.com/MSPCABostonAdoptionCenter/mspcabostonadoptioninquiry

"It's time to play the music, it's time to light the lights! It's time to meet the Muppets on the Muppet Show tonight!" Wait a minute, these aren't muppets-they're adorable baby rats! These pups are snuggly, outgoing, curious, and looking for homes! Rats are very clean and intelligent animals; they can be trained to do all sorts of tricks and behaviors, including using a litterbox! Rats are also very social and enjoy the companionship of other rats and humans alike. Because of this, we would like these brothers and sisters to be adopted in same-sex groups or pairs. They could also likely get along with other social rats. For rats, we recommend a minimum of 24"x24"x24" multilevel enclosures with maximum bar spacing of ½". Please inquire if you are interested in adopting some of our rats!

Meet Georgie! This little prince is not only outgoing, but loves making new friends - he's quite the confident guy! Georgie has experience as both a free-roam and confined bun, but would prefer to be a bunny with more opportunity to explore at his leisure. While he loves a good pet, Georgie does not like being picked up and will require a patient owner as they learn to get him comfortable when handling is necessary. During Georgie's time in our adoption center, we've also noticed that he seems to prefer being an only rabbit. This doesn't mean he wants to be a single bun forever, but adopters should get to know Georgie on his own before introducing him to a companion. If you're interested in learning more about Georgie, send us an email with a photo of your enclosure to adoption@mspca.org
Adoption fee: $85 We adopt out our rabbits to live indoors only! We recommend bunnies go home to live in x-pens, so they're able to stretch their legs and move about when their people aren't home. If you have questions about the right type of enclosure, please let us know in your inquiry!
