Eloise is a lovely lady looking for a new place to call her own. She can be a bit shy around new people, but after a few minutes she starts to come out of her shell. Eloise is very affectionate with her people and loves chin and neck scratches. She is a good combination of playful and lazy!

More about Pete:
Pete was part of a group of very lucky cats who were recently transported from Texas to Massachusetts to find their forever homes. Pete has been a very mellow and sweet boy who is a bit shy in the shelter environment. He is looking for a quiet low key home where his new family will give him plenty of time to acclimate.
Pete was fostered while in Texas and his foster mom said he is a gentle and affectionate purr machine who will make a great companion. Pete loves to follow you around and is curious about everything that involves you, his favorite person. He got along great with the other cats in the house and in fact the other social cat in the house really helped him adjust. He also got along with a mellow cat friendly dog in his foster home.
If you have the space in your home and heart for this darling boy please stop by and fall in love!
The shelter is open Tuesday through Sunday from noon to 3:00 pm, with no appointment needed to meet available cats.
Who is looking for a charming couch buddy to binge watch your favorite show! Meet Zoey a tiny little fluffball who has perfected her calm and sweet side and is currently working on wand toys 101. This darling girl is friendly and social once comfortable in her surroundings. She has a very soft meow when she wants your attention and her manners are impeccable when it comes to using the litterbox and not jumping on things! Zoey is a true lady who will make a wonderful companion to some lucky family!
Like most cats Zoey would prefer a quiet low traffic home. She enjoys her routine and gets a bit nervous when things are turned upside down. She will need a slow introduction into her new home, starting off in one unoccupied room until she is comfortable. You will recognize this as she will be curious and want to explore. How long the introduction takes really depends on the cat and the type of household you have.
The shelter is open Tuesday through Sunday from noon to 3:00 pm, with no appointment needed to meet available cats.
Compatibility:
Cats: possibly, no history
Dogs: No thanks
Kids: possibly older, cat savvy, mellow kids
This beautiful bean is Clara. She is the sweetest and most loving cat. She loves to lounge, sunbathe and watch birds from the window. Her nickname in her previous southern foster home was “lovebug” because she is full of love! She enjoys sleeping in bed and cuddling up for a movie night.
Clara has a progressive case of FeLV – or Feline Leukemia Virus – which could shorten her lifespan, and we are hoping to find her a loving indoor-only home where she can live out her life. FeLV cats should only live with other FeLV positive cats or be the only cat in the household. Interested adopters should click the inquire button below to learn more and shelter staff will provide additional counseling on FeLV and answer any questions at the time of adoption.
More info on FeLV can be found here: https://veterinarypartner.vin.com/default.aspx?pid=19239&id=4951934

More about Rachel:
Rachel has the softest meow and a very gentle easy going nature to match. She came to us from a house with too many cats and so has been a bit overwhelmed at the shelter and tends to hide in her cave bed. However, if you spend a few minutes with her you will see how sweet and loving she really is. She adores being pet and will roll over on her back for belly rubs once she is comfortable. She has started to be interested in toys and will bat things around but especially loves wand toys. She is comfortable being held for a brief amount of time and then gets a bit wiggly. She has a soft purr that comes out anytime her special person is around. She is very affectionate & attentive once comfortable and will make an amazing best friend for some lucky family.
Ultimately Rachel`s perfect home will be a quiet low traffic house with adults only who enjoy mellow evenings and a consistent schedule. She needs a special owner who will provide a consistent quiet low key space during transition to a new home. She will most likely need to be in a dog crate for a short time and then slowly graduate to a larger space. Her acclimation time will depend on how busy your house is and how well you are able keep her on a routine and provide positive interactions while she is getting comfortable in her new space. Rachel has done well in a foster home and so we have a good handle on how to help her have a successful transition.
The shelter is open Tuesday through Sunday from noon to 3:00 pm, with no appointment needed to meet available cats. Rachel would love for you to stop by and visit her on any Saturday. She spends her weekdays in foster to give her a break from the shelter and continue to work on her social skills.

I am described as social, quiet, and lazy, but when I play, I love balls! I have good history with teenage children and I come with good litter box manners.
It may take me time to settle in and show my full potential. I should start in a small, unoccupied room. My adopter should not force me out of hiding spaces, but needs to let me adjust at my own pace.
I am fearful of loud noises and commotion, so ideally my adopter can offer me a quiet, low-traffic home with a small, consistent core group of people. I will hide from visitors.
The shelter is open Tuesday through Sunday from noon – 3:00 pm, with no appointment needed to meet available cats.
Compatibility:
Cats: No history, possibly a quiet, mellow cat with a slow introduction
Dogs: No history, possibly a quiet, mellow dog with a slow introduction
Kids: Quiet, older will be okay: should not be the house where the children & friends congregate

More about Sweetie:
I am a handsome panther that is athletic, playful, and a complete goofball. I love laser toys and wand toys, especially with feathers! I am vocal and curious and in my previous home I was described as sweet and loving. I can be cuddley and enjoy hanging out in your lap after a day filled with playtime.
I get really stressed during transitions so my adopter is required to set up a room for me that is low traffic where I can acclimate to the sounds and activity of my need environment. The perfect adopter will be cat savvy and able to read cat body language and will give me however long it takes to settle in.
The shelter is open Tuesday through Sunday from noon to 3:00 pm, with no appointment needed to meet available cats.
Daisy is looking for a quiet home full of patient adopters to give her a chance at a calm, cozy life! Transitions have been hard for this girl, and we expect she will take lots of time settling into a new home. She tends to keep to herself and her ideal home will provide her with her own space to retreat to when needed. Her new family should have low expectations for her when it comes to being a typical social, playful cat. We cannot be sure if or when she will begin soliciting attention or playing with her new owners due to her history of not interacting with humans.
Dawn and Daisy came from the same home and may benefit from going home either together or with an existing human social cat friend.

David and Ella are a part of our Working Cat Program! This program is for cats that are not well suited for an indoor-only type lifestyle but would thrive in environments with more space, a job, and/or less pressure from humans and other pets.
This cat originally came to us from the outdoors so we don’t know a lot about his past. While they are used to people being in somewhat close proximity to feed and care for them, these are not currently social cats but would make great ‘behind the scenes’ working cats! Interested adopters must have a safe, secure structure or barn for a working cat and be able to provide adequate time for acclimation.
If you are interested please fill out an inquiry today!

More about Hank:
I am here at the shelter with my brother Branch … we are bonded and will be adopted together. This means our lucky adopter will receive twice the love and twice the fun!!
We do not have lots of detailed history for us, but we do know that we lived a fairly sheltered, quiet life and would hide when visitors came over. My brother Branch is the more outgoing of the two of us, and would cuddle with our people. I am more independent and I prefer the company of Branch, and I would seek attention on my own terms.
We will need a very slow transition into our new home, especially for me. I had a very hard time here at first, but I have settled in and I solicit attention on my terms. It is recommended that we start in a small room and gradually be given more access to the house as we settle in and become comfortable in our new surroundings. Our adopter should allow us to solicit attention on our own terms and do not force interaction. Expectations should be kept low, and allow our true personalities to blossom naturally.
The shelter is open Tuesday through Sunday from noon – 3:00 pm, with no appointment needed to meet available cats.
Compatibility:
Cats: I have only ever been around Branch: we we might prefer to be the only two in the house. Talk with staff about introducing them to an existing cat in the home.

Tigger is approximately 10 years old and oh-so-sweet. She loves attention and will happily sleep in your bed with you if you’ll let her! Tigger isn’t above any kind of affection, and even likes to be held and cuddled. Despite being a lovebug, Tigger has ongoing gastrointestinal issues and is looking for an adopter willing to give her a little extra TLC. Unfortunately, she hasn’t responded to diet changes or oral medications but remains comfortable and happy. This will likely be a life-long condition and may require intermittent veterinary care. Since we don’t have any records prior to her arrival at our shelter, we don’t have an exact age or medical history. Her life-span could be shortened by old age changes or progression of her gastrointestinal condition. Tigger is currently spending time in a foster home, so if you would like to meet her, please email neasfoster@mspca.org to book an appointment.
