Anesthesiology

Angell’s number one priority is the care and safety of your pet. If your pet is undergoing a procedure that requires anesthesia, you can rest assured that your pet is in good hands. We are pleased to provide a dedicated Anesthesia Service to our clients and patients as part of our commitment to excellent, quality care.

Anesthesiologist Becca Reader, DVM, DACVAA, collaborates with our surgeons, Internal Medicine doctors, and various other specialists to ensure that the safest and most effective anesthesia protocols are administered to your pet. In addition, our experienced certified/licensed veterinary technicians monitor each patient during anesthesia using cutting-edge equipment to measure blood pressure, carbon dioxide, oxygen, and heart rate. Cases seen can range from providing routine sedation for radiographs to performing general anesthesia on patients undergoing brain or open-heart surgery.

Angell has the expertise to safely deliver anesthesia to dogs and cats as well as avian and exotic species (birds, ferrets, rabbits, reptiles, rodents, etc…).
