The MSPCA-Angell’s Pay It Forward Adoption Fund creates opportunities for adoption fees to be reduced or waived for individual animals or groups of animals. By subsidizing adoption fees, you can help animals and people most in need of support find their family. Your support of this critical fund makes a difference!
The Pay It Forward Adoption Fund in Action
- Find Homes for Hard-to Place Pets – Each year, thousands of animals arrive at the MSPCA-Angell adoption centers in search of a new home. While many find adoptive families quickly, some harder-to-place animals may stay in our care for a longer period due to age, medical needs, personalities or habits that have hampered their ability to find a home. The Pay It Forward Adoption Fund allows us to reduce or waive the adoption fee to highlight a pet in need of a home.
- Create Equity in Pet Adoption – The MSPCA-Angell believes that everyone deserves the love and companionship of a pet. The Pay It Forward Adoption Fund allows us to reduce or waive an adoption fee for low income adopters who are committed to adoption but unable to afford a full adoption fee for a pet who is otherwise a good fit for their family.
- Host Fee-Waived Adoption Events – At the MSPCA-Angell, we are committed to finding homes for as many animals as possible. Fee-waived adoption events allow us to send home a large number of pets in a short time frame, furthering our ability to help even more pets in need. Just as importantly, these adoption events alert the public to the reality that pet overpopulation is an issue.
