Temporary housing for pets

The following resources may help if you have found a spot to live with your pet but need a bit of time before you are able to move in or need to find a temporary housing situation for you and your pet. Note that most programs will have limits on the amount of time a pet can be cared for and possibly other conditions.

• This Google Sheet contains hotels and motels across Massachusetts with pet-friendly policies (note the tabs at the bottom). This list will continue to be updated. Please email advocacy@mspca.org if you think a business should be added to this spreadsheet.

Additional Ideas

• Reach out to animal shelters in your community to see if they offer any type of temporary boarding
• Contact local boarding kennels and see if they have availability and will work with you to help
• Tap into local networks — friends, family, neighbors — who may be able to help
