Certified by the Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Society (VECCS)
BOSTON, May 3, 2017 – The MSPCA-Angell announced today that its 24-7 emergency and specialty hospital, Angell Animal Medical Center, has reached Level 1 certification Emergency and Critical Care Facility by the Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Society (VECCS) as well as becoming an approved trauma center by the Veterinary Committee on Trauma (vetCOT) for its demonstrated ability to offer the highest level of care for veterinary trauma patients.
The certification follows news that Angell had reached the highest level certification by the Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Society (VECCS) in May of 2016.
Angell’s Emergency & Critical Care Center was recognized for being part of a wholly integrated veterinary medical facility, with specialty areas spanning surgery, anesthesia, radiology, cardiology, internal medicine and other specialties all under one roof.
“We’re very pleased that the VECCS has certified our work at the highest level and that we are a vetCOT approved trauma center,” said Dr. Kiko Bracker of Angell’s Emergency & Critical Care Unit. “Professional certifications offer even more confidence to pet owners who want to know their animals are in the safest hands, receiving the absolute best possible care.”
