Our sweet one-eyed Marsha is a sensitive soul who can be a little shy at first- but give her some time and you’ll discover the social, silly, snuggly companion we know her to be! Once she’s feeling comfortable, she blossoms into the most goofy girl who loves to romp around with toys and ask her favorite people to play fetch with her. Marsha is a BIG fan of treats and enjoys training sessions, especially when they come with tasty rewards and praise. She thrives on positive reinforcement and is eager to build confidence.
New environments can make her a bit nervous, so she’ll need a gentle introduction to her new home and routine. Marsha doesn’t love to be around other dogs, so she is looking to be the only dog in the home, and would thrive in an area where she won’t be frequently running into other dogs. With patience and understanding, Marsha is sure to be a loyal and devoted companion!
Stop by Northeast Animal Shelter to meet Marsha. We have open adoption hours Tuesday-Sunday from 11:30am-5pm - no appointment needed to speak to a staff person regarding available pets.
Visit www.mspca.org/petresources to learn how to prepare for a successful first few weeks at home with a your adopted pet!
NEW! Extended evening hours for dog adoptions only until 7PM on Wednesdays on the Cape, and on Thursdays in Boston, Methuen, and Salem.
Please note, in an effort to keep the stress levels reduced for the dogs in our care, our dog kennel areas will not be open to walk through. Interested adopters will work with a matchmaker on staff to determine which dog(s) they are interested in and if we can identify a match, potential adopters will be able to meet those dogs outside of the kennel. Cat and small animal areas will remain open to walk through.
