Meet Bernadette, a 6-month-old Shepherd mix with a big personality and an even bigger zest for life! This spunky, active, and rowdy pup is always ready for her next adventure and is guaranteed to keep you smiling. As a young dog, Bernadette is still learning about the world around her, but she’s eager to take it all in—especially when treats are involved! She’s incredibly food motivated and loves training, making her a great candidate for a family that’s excited to continue building her confidence and teaching her new skills. Bernadette would do best starting out as the only dog in her new home, where she can focus on settling in and forming a strong bond with her people. With structure, patience, and plenty of positive reinforcement, Bernadette is sure to grow into a loyal, fun-loving companion.
Stop by Northeast Animal Shelter to meet Bernadette. We have open adoption hours Tuesday-Sunday from 11:30am-5pm - no appointment needed to speak to a staff person regarding available pets.
Visit www.mspca.org/petresources to learn how to prepare for a successful first few weeks at home with a your adopted pet!
NEW! Extended evening hours for dog adoptions only until 7PM on Wednesdays on the Cape, and on Thursdays in Boston, Methuen, and Salem.
Please note, in an effort to keep the stress levels reduced for the dogs in our care, our dog kennel areas will not be open to walk through. Interested adopters will work with a matchmaker on staff to determine which dog(s) they are interested in and if we can identify a match, potential adopters will be able to meet those dogs outside of the kennel. Cat and small animal areas will remain open to walk through.
