Meet Stubby! This sensitive sweetheart was living in a bubble in his previous home, meaning he wasn’t meeting a lot of new people or animals, and wasn’t going to a lot of new places. As such, he’ll need a patient adopter who can help him settle in and learn how to be successful in a home at his own pace. New people and environments can sometimes be a bit scary for Stubby, so he would do best in a low-traffic home and quiet neighborhood that he can explore as he grows more comfortable. Stubby could potentially live with cats and older children who are well-versed in shy dog skills, but he’d prefer to be the only dog in your life right now!
Stop by our Cape Cod Adoption Center to meet Stubby. We have open adoption hours Tuesday-Sunday from 1pm-4pm - no appointment needed to speak to a staff person regarding available pets.
Visit www.mspca.org/petresources to learn how to prepare for a successful first few weeks at home with a your adopted pet!
Please note, in an effort to keep the stress levels reduced for the dogs in our care, our dog kennel areas will not be open to walk through. Interested adopters will work with a matchmaker on staff to determine which dog(s) they are interested in and if we can identify a match, potential adopters will be able to meet those dogs outside of the kennel. Cat and small animal areas will remain open to walk through.
Your gift now will help us provide the love, care and support animals like Stubby need while waiting for a loving family. You can also send words of encouragement for Stubby, that we may read out loud to them on our social media channels
