Meet Andy

Meet Andy! This goofy guy loves playing with his toys, going for sniffy walks, and training! Andy is an excited adolescent puppy who is working hard at practicing his polite greetings, comfortably navigating the world on leash, and using his puppy mouth in appropriate ways all by the means of force-free, positively reinforced interactions. He is looking for a patient adopter that has a good sense of humor and is excited to continue his learning with positive reinforcement training.

Andy could join a home with older kids who could participate in management and training, and who are comfortable with a larger dog that is still practicing his manners. He would prefer a cat free home, please! He could potentially live with another dog depending on the environment- and with his rough and rowdy playstyle, he would need to go home with a tolerant dog that can match his energy. Dog meet required on campus.

Stop by Northeast Animal Shelter to meet Andy. We have open adoption hours Tuesday-Sunday from 12pm-5pm - no appointment needed to speak to a staff person regarding available pets.

Please note, in an effort to keep the stress levels reduced for the dogs in our care, our dog kennel areas will not be open to walk through. Interested adopters will work with a matchmaker on staff to determine which dog(s) they are interested in and if we can identify a match, potential adopters will be able to meet those dogs outside of the kennel. Cat and small animal areas will remain open to walk through.
