Athena is a fluffy, plushy sweetheart with a lot to say! This talkative lady loves to chat with her people and is always ready to let you know what’s on her mind. She’s a fun, unique girl who is working hard on her manners and would love a family who will continue helping her learn and grow. She has lived successfully with cats and children who understand how to give her space and respect her boundaries. She would prefer to be the only dog in the home, but with time and training, she may enjoy making dog friends out and about. With her fluffy coat, chatty personality, and sweet nature, Athena is ready to find a family who will let her blossom into her best self!

Stop by Northeast Animal Shelter to meet Athena. We have open adoption hours Tuesday-Sunday from 12pm-5pm - no appointment needed to speak to a staff person regarding available pets.

Please note, in an effort to keep the stress levels reduced for the dogs in our care, our dog kennel areas will not be open to walk through. Interested adopters will work with a matchmaker on staff to determine which dog(s) they are interested in and if we can identify a match, potential adopters will be able to meet those dogs outside of the kennel. Cat and small animal areas will remain open to walk through.
