Meet Rooney

Meet Rooney! Rooney is a sweet, more reserved boy looking for his next home. He has shown us that it takes some time for him to get comfortable around new people but once he is comfortable with you will make a great couch potato friend or friend to lay next to you while you work! We don’t have any history on Rooney so we are looking for adopters that are ready to take things at his pace and are excited to learn about his personality as he settles in. We think Rooney could live with another dog if starting out with complete separation, slow introductions and a dog that is into a more exuberant playstyle! We don’t know if he has lived with cats before but think he could do well starting out with complete separation and slow introductions. We don’t know if Rooney has lived with kids but think he could do well with children that can give him space as he settles in and once he is more comfortable will be able to help with his training plan!

Stop by our Boston Adoption Center to meet Rooney. We have open adoption hours Tuesday-Sunday from 12pm-4pm - no appointment needed to speak to a staff person regarding available pets.

Please note, in an effort to keep the stress levels reduced for the dogs in our care, our dog kennel areas will not be open to walk through. Interested adopters will work with a matchmaker on staff to determine which dog(s) they are interested in and if we can identify a match, potential adopters will be able to meet those dogs outside of the kennel. Cat and small animal areas will remain open to walk through.
