Meet Toga

Meet the beautiful Toga! Toga’s a happy, young, athletic dog that enjoys making friends of all forms. Toga enjoys meeting people, and will even do some excited howling when she sees a friend she recognizes or wants attention(she’s a typical chatty akita!). Here at the shelter, she’s been a little worried, so we would love adopters that are willing to take some time getting to know her and going at her pace. She also enjoys playing with well-matched dog friends, and is said to politely greet outdoor cat friends that she sees on walks! Toga’s never lived with kids, but we think she could enjoy sharing a home with kids that respect her boundaries. If you’re looking for an adventuruous dog to spend time with, and don’t mind a bit of a chatterbox- Toga is your girl!

Stop by Northeast Animal Shelter to meet Toga. We have open adoption hours Tuesday-Sunday from 12pm-5pm - no appointment needed to speak to a staff person regarding available pets.

Please note, in an effort to keep the stress levels reduced for the dogs in our care, our dog kennel areas will not be open to walk through. Interested adopters will work with a matchmaker on staff to determine which dog(s) they are interested in and if we can identify a match, potential adopters will be able to meet those dogs outside of the kennel. Cat and small animal areas will remain open to walk through.
