Meet Kiba! This handsome senior Husky has a lot of life experience under his belt and plenty of personality to share. He’s been through quite a few changes recently, so he’s looking for a patient, understanding home where he can settle in at his own pace. Kiba is a sensitive guy who appreciates people who take things slow, especially when it comes to physical affection. He may need some time to feel comfortable with touch, but he’ll let you know when he’s ready! And, of course, no Husky introduction would be complete without mentioning his voice. Kiba is quite the conversationalist and loves to serenade the shelter with his signature Husky vocals!
As a senior gentleman, Kiba also comes with some medical considerations. He is suspected to have a torn left cranial cruciate ligament (CCL), along with some other age-related medical needs, so his future family should be prepared to maintain a close relationship with their veterinarian and provide ongoing medical care. Kiba is looking for a soft landing, a little extra patience, and people who appreciate all the quirks that come with a senior Husky. If you have room in your home and heart for a sensitive, vocal old soul, come chat with our staff about Kiba ! 🙂
Stop by Northeast Animal Shelter to meet Kiba. We have open adoption hours Tuesday-Sunday from 12pm-5pm - no appointment needed to speak to a staff person regarding available pets.
Visit www.mspca.org/petresources to learn how to prepare for a successful first few weeks at home with a your adopted pet!
Please note, in an effort to keep the stress levels reduced for the dogs in our care, our dog kennel areas will not be open to walk through. Interested adopters will work with a matchmaker on staff to determine which dog(s) they are interested in and if we can identify a match, potential adopters will be able to meet those dogs outside of the kennel. Cat and small animal areas will remain open to walk through.
Your gift now will help us provide the love, care and support animals like Kiba need while waiting for a loving family. You can also send words of encouragement for Kiba, that we may read out loud to them on our social media channels
