Farm Bird Rehoming Resources

You know your bird best! This is why it’s so important to have owners try to rehome their birds first. It cuts down on transitions and therefore stress on the bird(s), and you are able to be involved in the process! It also allows more of the bird’s unique traits and adoptable points to be highlighted.
A picture is worth a thousand words! Photos get more attention on online postings and allow potential homes to “connect” with the bird.
Concerned about your bird ending up in a bad home? People are usually forthcoming about their intentions, but you can always ask to see photos of their setup, references, and/or ask a small rehoming fee to discourage such homes.
Advertise via a flyer at your local feed store – most stores have bulletin boards available!
